ICC Receives Petition To Investigate, Arrest, And Prosecute Outgoing COAS Buratai, For All Extra Judicial Killings

Popular Human Rights Activist, Deji Adeyanju, has on Thursday, called for the investigation, arrest, and prosecution, of the former Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lt.-General Tukur Buratai, over alleged cases of human rights violations and extra judicial killings under his watch in Nigeria, Page 36 learnt.

Adeyanju made the call in a petition addressed and sent to the International Criminal Court, ICC, following the recent resignation of Buratai, and the appointment of a new COAS by President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday.

In a petition sighted by Page 36 on Thursday, Deji Adeyanju blamed Buratai for the worsening insecurity situation in the country.
