#EndSARS protesters on Friday morning regrouped at the Federal Capital Territory the Nation’s capital where they have been converging for days now.
Private security popularly known as bouncers were also hired as an alternative to security in the nation’s capital to guard against organized thugs and pro SARS faithfuls who have been attacking and disrupting the peaceful protest going on.
Some protesters were attacked by some hausa thugs on Wednesday morning and evening injuring peaceful protesters and destroying about 20 vehicles. Subsequently on Thursday thugs were also hired and used to disrupt the peaceful protest going on in Lagos state.
The #EndSARS protest started as a campaign against the infamous anti-robbery squad of the Police, now disbanded, but the protesters are now calling for a wider reforms in the police and advocating for better policing.
While arrangements have been made for food, water, drinks, recharge cards for online protesters while music plays in the background to prepare the protesters for the day ahead and a constant reminder of the collective message to #EndSARS.
They also have medical personnel on standby, ambulances, mobile toilets and other service providers for convenience have also been provided.
