The widow of the middle-aged man killed by a stray bullet in the Surulere part of Lagos recently during the #EndSARS protest, Ikechukwu Iloamuzor, has broken her silence.

Speaking in an interview with The Cable, the wife of the Iloamuzor, Ngozi, demanded justice for her late husband.

Ngozi, in a tone of deep regret and pain, recalled that her late husband (55-year-old) was a lovable man throughout his life.

The widow narrated that although she and the deceased were not living in riches, they struggled to survive, but that she has no one to help her now that he is gone.

In tears, Ngozi lamented: “We’ve been married for 11 years. My husband is not a troublesome one. My husband loves me and I love him too. We don’t have, but we are managing. Who is going to help me now?

“They just took my joy away from me. I want them to find the person that killed my husband.”

Earlier, the police command in Lagos claimed that no #EndSARS protester was killed in the state contrary to reports that had already gone viral in the media.

This position was put forward by the police commissioner in Lagos, Hakeem Odumosu, during his conversation with protesters most of whom were lawyers on Tuesday, October 13.

Odumosu, rather said that what policemen had done so far is to protect protesters from hoodlums who tried to take advantage of the situation.

The police commissioner explained that stray bullets hit and killed a civilian, a driver precisely, and a policeman in the Surulere part of the state.
