Ondo Gov Akeredolu says he tested positive for coronavirus

Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has explained how he contracted Coronavirus. The governor on Tuesday confirmed on his verified Twitter account that he contracted the virus and had gone on self-isolation.

He explained that he had few days ago showed symptoms of malaria and had it treated. The governor added that he was later advised to take the malaria more serious by undergoing further tests. 

Ondo State governor Rotimi Akeredolu says he has tested positive for the coronavirus. “Earlier today, I got confirmation of a positive result for Covid-19. I am asymptomatic and not displaying any symptoms,” he said Tuesday.

“I am currently self-isolating and supervised home management will be administered by the wonderful team at our Infectious Disease Hospital. I ask that we all stay safe and be well.”
