Former Barcelona striker, Samuel Eto’o, had a car accident in his home country Cameroon on Sunday.

The former captain of Cameroon’s senior national team had an accident close to Nkongsamba while returning from a wedding, according to reports.

Eto’o is in a stable condition, Martin Camus, a Cameroon journalist who broke the news of Eto’o’s accident, said on Twitter.

“The crushed car Samuel Eto’o was in. I can confirm that he is fine, we spoke again,” Camus said. “Doctors take care of additional examinations.”

Eto’o, 39, won African Footballer of the Year award four times. He retired from football in 2019.
